Sales Manager, Chemicals

The Sales Manager functions both as a key account manager and the regional sales owner for key territories within Asia.

You are responsible to deliver your volume numbers both via existing customers and via potential prospects in your region. You will also identify new business opportunities by evaluating new industries & developing new prospects. You will build a keen understanding of P&G Chemicals oleo-chemical product offerings, along with the ability to understand key business drivers of customers and agree contracts/sales with them on a monthly or quarterly cycle in a commodity B2B oleo-chemical market.


  1. Responsible for the achievement of sales targets by focusing on understanding and developing key accounts, together with generating new business.
  2. This includes owning and leading customer relationships, establishing and executing joint business plans, with a diverse set of customers spread in a wide range of industrial, commercial, and distribution accounts.
  3. Develop new sales opportunities by identifying potential new industries and accounts and working through the sales funnel to take the prospects form sampling to actual sales.
  4. Work seamlessly with the multi-functional P&G team to deliver commercial strategy for the region.
  5. Collaborate within a multi-functional global key account team to achieve the account goals.
  6. Assess regional threats, opportunities and trends; finding opportunities & competitive responses.
  7. Be involved in overall P&G Chemicals system improvements and digitalization.

  • Ability to articulate product and/or value offerings and craft customer solutions.
  • Ability to build customer relationships effectively.
  • Ability to engage key multi-functional partners within an organization and present a value proposition.
  • Ability to gather and use data to inform decision-making and persuade others
  • Ability to work independently, effectively handling time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines
  • Degree holder, preferably with a background in chemistry or sciences
  • 2-5 Years of experience in a commercial B2B environment.
  • Ability to converse in 2nd language is a plus (Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Hindi)
  • Willing to travel overseas for customer visits. (Expected to travel 15% of the time)
  • Experience working with or other CRM platforms preferred.
