The Opportunity

We are looking for an innovative, collaborative and independent Research and Development Information Security Manager who is experienced in leading IT programs to protect the business, reduce risks, and improve overall company productivity. This role will deliver critical IT Programs and Projects across the enterprise and lead initiatives to enhance our company's network security.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Perform risk assessments: identify and analyze any potential risks
  • Create, implement, and sustain interventions necessary to correct any risks
  • Measure, interpret, and report risks to key partners
  • Lead Cloud feasibility assessments, define hosting strategies, and execute infrastructure migrations
  • Remain in-touch with and influence corporate policies and the evolving security landscape
  • Work with application managers to ensure a secure an end-to-end application life cycle management is being utilized and frameworks are secure

As a R&D Information Security Manager, you will be

  • Part of a multi-functional team working to define and implement risk-based asset protection
  • Defining and communicating key issues, and recommending changes to both end users and business leadership
  • Leading projects, resulting in significant risk reduction
  • Working to ensure our information remains secure and operations are unaffected by malicious actors
  • Highly focused with the ability to successfully deliver multiple priorities
  • Able to effectively work and communicate with both business and technical teams


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in an IT-related field
  • Demonstrated experience performing risk assessments
  • SANS security training and NIST framework
  • Strong knowledge of Security components and Cloud security concepts – AWS, Azure, Google

Preferred, but not required

  • Experience with software for lab instrumentation, data analysis, or equipment controls
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator
  • CISSP
