Human Safety (Toxicologist) Manager (Scientist)
Description Procter & Gamble's Global Product Stewardship group at the Beijing Technical Center has an entry level opening for a Ph.D. level scientist in consumer safety organization. The successful candidate will apply safety science principles to develop chemical hazard assessments, provide safety support for marketed products and upstream technologies, and ensure that these products and technologies are safe for use by consumers. This work will occur in a technically challenging and globally diverse business environment! Key responsibilities include: • Providing technical guidance and safety assessment to project teams for complex and innovative technologies through all stages of product development. Interpreting in vitro, in vivo, in silico and clinical data to ensure that the marketed products are safe for consumers. • Collaborate well with safety experts globally, and with other functions, including Product Research, Product Design, Regulatory Affairs, etc. • Understanding regulatory toxicology and where appropriate, learning aspects of regulatory toxicology, interacting directly with and/or influencing external regulatory and scientific authorities related to product safety.
Qualifications: • A PhD in Toxicology, Pharmacology or Life Science is required. Experiences in chemistry / computational tox (SAR/QSAR) background is a strong plus. • Capable to integrate data and approaches from relevant scientific disciplines critical to providing assurance of safety for consumer products. Fast learning capability. Use resources well. Eager to understand and seek difficult problems using external and internal resources. Able to reapply what is known or shown elsewhere in new circumstances. • Strong collaboration skills. Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with a variety of partners, internal and external. Individual should be a self-starter and able to work independently, yet also effectively collaborate and work with teams and colleagues. • Strong priority setting. Able to manage multiple competing and or shifting business priorities. Must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, while continuing to manage multiple projects according to business needs. • Excellent verbal and written English skills are required.Apply Now
